Within the 35th edition of the Churra Fair in Palencia, organized by the National Association of Breeders of Select Sheep of the Churra Breed (ANCHE) this weekend, on June 4 and 5, the twinning between the Churra breeds has taken place and Merina.
Within the official program, the most colorful activity had as its protagonist a flock of one hundred Merino sheep from the Hermanos Ortiz Livestock, which carried out its particular transhumance through the streets of the historic center of the Palencia capital in an activity called “Do not confuse Churras with Merinas ” .
Mr. Fernando de Soto, President of the National Association of Breeders of Merino Cattle (ACME) , was invited to this act, who exchanged with Mr. Mariano Paramio, President of the National Association of Breeders of Select Sheep of the Churra Breed (ANCHE) , a pair of commemorative plaques of the twinning.
